Stephanie Farley

For over 25 years, I worked in independent k-12 schools as a teacher and administrator. My focus in both roles was to optimize student learning experiences by tapping into brain research, mastery-based and constructivist learning pedagogy,  positive psychology, and years of iteration. Now, I coach teachers in lesson planning, curriculum development, classroom management, and appropriate communication, as well as provide consultation and professional development services around curriculum, assessment, positive relationships, and communication.

Stephanie also helped teachers create meaningful and joyful lessons to motivate and engage students. -- Elementary Assistant Director

Among Stephanie’s many strengths is her commitment to what is in the best interest of students. She designs curriculum to meet the needs of the group. She has successfully experimented with student choice, essential questions, alternative assessment, and mastery learning. She is able to communicate the vision of the program and craft fun yet meaningful lessons for students. In considering and implementing policy, she takes her knowledge of young adolescents and the student perspective to heart.--Associate Head of School

Stephanie’s role in student services  was invaluable to parents, teachers, and the administrative team. She created a system of educational plans that were integral to meeting the needs of all students. As a liaison between home, school, and outside support, Stephanie ensured that all information was communicated in a timely manner and that the educational plans were updated regularly. --Elementary Director
